Keep on Truckin'....

The surgery is still going on, going into its 6th hour.

I keep imagining this scene in ER/Grey's Anatomy where there's this massive montage and some inspirational music.  If it's Grey's, the standard default has to be Ingrid Michaelson.  I watched the first three seasons of it before it jumped the Shark. (follow the link if you don't know)

Some random things to amuse those waiting with us:

This is a piece of artwork that is outside the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and is constructed completely from found artwork.  There's a bike chain guard, parts of cross country skis, a hockey stick and a few hundred other parts.  Really cool!

Amelie is currently today's winner!

That's the surgery progress board, and she's got the endurance award for today.  (She's the blue at the bottom right).

Nothing more to say, and much else to do other than comment about how insanely nice the new Children's Hospital is.  For all you football people, we're sitting in the Charles Woodson gallery...and apparently he's someone who went to U-M and played football.  Anything more?  Go Google him.  I'll learn more about the artist while you do that.
